The Elevator Bunker group was born in Verona in 2010, thanks to the director and performer Matteo Maffesanti’s idea, after several video and theatrical experiences in the social field. 

The main goal is to create an open environment, which isn’t related to the usual bare paternalistic approach and where people are free to express themselves and develop their own creativity. One’s features should not be taken as limits but rather as precious resources. Participants will be able to experiment new expressive forms, and be involved in the development of an idea, working with professional artists in the field of theatre and dance. It is our strong desire to promote this kind of activities inside those environments which are very likely to exclude people with disabilities.
Elevator Bunker has realised Shoe, a performance made with Opera Estate Festival del Veneto and Bestiario Universale.
