The school was brought to life in 1983 by the choice of Lucia Nicolussi Perego (director, teacher, choreographer, and a psychology graduate) and from ’92 it took the name of “Compagnia Era Acquario”. The contemporary dance puts onto the stage facts, roles, feelings, it compares experiences and identifies talents and interests. It is a dance that teaches an elevated physical versatility, stimulating the use of creativity, it requires discipline, the study of techniques, it develops an aware and strong body, with a sensitive predisposition to start any type of theatre request and above all not forgetting that to do so, the mind must grow in parallel to the body.

Thanks to the vast and matured experience of Lucia Nicolussi Perego, the logical outcome is the teaching of dance which is offered in different social situations (which is in parallel to the teaching job in the headquarters).

In particular, in the projects with disabled people, other artists and students work together in the group stimulating the creative dynamics. Countless collaborations exist with external corporations, those are: town halls, theatres, schools (from infant to secondary schools), disabled associations, prisons, training courses for teachers that have led to the realisation of events and shows even professionals with the contribution of the association Eracquariodanza before and the association MP.Ideograms today.
