Giacomo Curti
ARTIST
Giacomo is an actor, dancer and certified teacher for Danceability, he started his training in the educational field in to follow Piero Gabrielli’s theatrical laboratories coordinated with the Theatre of Rome for a period of eleven years. Simultaneously he participated in numerous workshops and professional theatrical productions conducted by professional actors, such as: Danio Manfredini, Fabrizio Arcuri, Marco Baliani, Ninni Bruschetta, Danilo Nigrelli, Abel Ferrara and others.
During the years 2010-2014, he was responsible for planning and management activities for the theatrical laboratories started by his own town hall.
He therefore moved closer to teatrodanza and in 2010 started his work collaborating with dancers as well as actors, in productions by the company DMA-Teatrodanza in Rome. He then took part in an integrated dance project at “Reale Accademia” in Spain curated by the Spanish choreographer and artist Marisa Brugarolas.
He then entered to become part of the Fuori Contesto company as an actor and dancer, making him in addition a business partner.
He thus started his specific work in Danceability, a method of inclusive dance created by the American choreographer Alito Alessi, collaborating in several production projects, helping in the Workshop activities and training for teachers with the certified presenter Emilia Martinelli.
After the certification, he then started to develop training activities in various contexts according to the projects from the Fuori Contesto company from Rome.
In the two-year course from 2015-2016 he undertook a drama and theatrical direction job with the collaboration of the cooperative society “La Gramigna” in Rome, for which he achieved activities in the schools.
He finally received “Le voci dell’anima”, the prize “ConfineCorpo” dedicated to the expressivity of the body for the participation with a production of the Fuori Contesto company in the last edition of the festival of theatre and dance
He is currently working in a professional production for the Balletto Civile/Michela Lucenti company, on the commission of the Oriente Occidente Festival in Rovereto.
